So a lot has changed since my last skincare post!
You guys know that skincare is basically my middle name! One of the ways that I escape the madness of the world is by self-care. Tending to my skin, my body and my overall wellness are some of the ways I cope with stress. Self-care is so crucial to me, and nothing says self-care like an at home facial! Whether you’re looking for some new products to add to your current routine or building a skincare routine this post is for you. Here are my top 5 brands in my skincare gang!
I recently made the switch from Cetaphil to Sunday Riley’s Clay Cleanser. After a while, Cetaphil started to dry out my skin and it was not cute! Shrug, it might just be the season (colder weather)! This gel cleanser from Sunday Riley is free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates. It’s also vegan! It’s a daily cleanser that removes all dirt, oil, makeup, and impurities from your skin while keeping your skin hydrated and imparting a healthy glow. It also smells heavenly. I use this product every morning!
Oh Pixi, where do I start? The very first Pixi product that I fell in love with was their Glow Tonic Toner. After every use, my skin has this amazing glow and feels baby skin soft. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to be added to their PR list and I incorporated even more great products. I’ve been loving their serums! My favorites are the Glow Tonic and the Vitamin C serums. The Glow Tonic serum is perfect for no makeup days. I glow for the gods! Vitamin C is also my go to ingredient for brightening and hydration.
I love a good mask! I’ve been using the Brighten Pineapple +Gemstone mask for about two months now. Luckily, I received it in the mail. I looked it up because I plan to re-up and girl, it cost a pretty penny! This product is the perfect solution for dull skin, an uneven skin tone and texture. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, noncomedogenic, and formulated without silicone, fragrance, gluten, artificial ingredients, unnatural preservatives, and fillers. After looking at the pricetag, it better be free of everything! I use this mask once a week and it never fails me. It exfoliates my skin while leaving a beautiful healthy glow. You can tell by now that I love a healthy glow, right?
Derma E products are new to my skincare gang.I had no idea that they’re a clean beauty brand- 100% vegan, cruelty free, GMO free, Gluten free and soy free. Last month I attended Ipsy’s NYC Creator Day and I was given a few Derma E products to try. The ingrediant that I’ve been loving in my skincare products is Vitamin C. Vitamin C is highly beneficial to the skin. It helps improve the appearance of discoloration, dark spots and uneven skin tone. Derma E’s Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel is a new product that I’ve incorporated in my routine once a week. It’s quite messy for both application and “take-off”, but it gets the job done. My skin feels soft, hydrated and my skin tone looks brighter.
For the life of me, I don’t remember how I found out about this brand haha! I am so glad I know about them though. Innisfree is a South Korean beauty brand that prides itself on being environmentally friendly, using naturally derived ingredients and giving back. A forever favorite of mine is their Intensive Hydrating Serum with Green Tea Seed. I love using this serum on no makeup days and rights before I apply makeup. I love that this serum is hydrating and extremely lightweight. It does have fragrance, but I find that it’s not unbearable. Love it!
Until next time y’all <3
