#SELFCARE, That May Mean A No and A Sacrifice, & That’s Fine!

I hear it all the time from others,” I need to incorporate selfcare but I have zero time”.

Trust me, I get it! I am a full time teacher, part time grad student and blogger with a social life on top. …so girl! Throughout my 20-something years thus far, I have learned the meaning of sacrifice and saying NO. I say that in the nicest way.  I know that if I want to do something for myself that may mean staying up a bit longer and saying no to people. I truly think everyone should take time for themselves at least once a week.

That “something” to me honestly can be in the form of watching an episode or three of Real Housewives of Atlanta (the Lord didn’t deliver me from that yet lol), something beauty related, making a nice at home dinner, e.t.c. This week I decided to mask!

I think that masking is a perfect way to treat yourself and it doesn’t take away from what you have to do around your apartment. On this specific day, I decided to use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrogel Mask.

This mask instantly quenches dry skin with hyaluronic acid and leaves the skin so hydrated! One thing that I specifically loved is the actual gel mask. It contours so well to the face and contains the serum which easily translates to you don’t have to do the most to apply it hehe. I left this mask on for 15 minutes and once I took it off, my skin felt so smooth and moisturized!

Like I said, I didn’t have to negate my household chores. I was able to unpack my groceries and make one of my personal favorite meals- Cajun Shrimp Salad along with my fave Belvoir Elderflower and Rose Lemonade ! I was LIVING! I hope that this post encourages you to incorporate some #selfcare.
